Phil Collins Approves of Taylor Lautner
For a guy, meeting your girlfriend’s father can be a bit intimidating. But what can make it so much worse is if her father is Phil Collins! According to Marie Claire UK, Taylor Lautner was in that exact situation since he is dating his Abduction co-star and Phil’s daughter – Lily Collins.

But it sounds like the meeting went smoothly and Phil is a fan of Lautner! A source close to the Collins family said:
"He (Phil)'s pretty tough on the guys Lily introduces him to. Taylor was nervous about meeting him, but they got along well."

Taylor and Lily met while on the set of their film Abduction – set to be released in September 2011—and Taylor fell for Lily the first day.
A source said at the time:
“Lily told pals that she wasn’t looking to fall in love, but soon realized she had strong romantic feelings. Taylor was smitten from day one, but Lily let him know she was in a relationship with a stuntman who was working on a Steven Spielberg movie in New Mexico. When the boyfriend got suspicious because Lily didn’t return calls promptly, he hopped a plane and turned up unannounced to confront her.”
