After just 11 months of marriage, Katie Price and Alex Reid have called it quits.

Although an official statement has not been released a source says the marriage "has been dead for months."

The source said,

"The announcement is a formality. The truth is the marriage has been dead for months.

Alex hasn't been intimate with her for a long time and that's a sure-fire with Katie that your card is marked. They just never got on once the spotlight disappeared and they were left with the dull reality of their relationship.

They just rushed into it hoping for the best and it has all gone pear-shaped. Alex is more depressed about it than she is. She was his meal ticket, and he knows it."

It's being reported that their lawyers are working on the final announcement and it should be released in the next couple of days.
