    Attention all Smallville fans! Kristin Kreuk, better known to you as Lana Lang, has just been cast in the lead role of Catherine (aka Belle) in the new CW reboot of Beauty and the Beast.

    The new series will modernize the classic story, turning Belle into a homicide detective and the Beast into a troubled war veteran.
