Blood and Treasure

Blood and Treasure, an American action-adventure created for Amazon Prime Video by Matthew Federman and Stephen Scaia, aired for the very first time May 21, 2019. The first season consists of 12 episodes. Not long after the first season aired, it renewed for a second season. The second season aired July 17, 2022, and is currently still releasing new episodes every week. It is unknown how many episodes will be in the second season. There is currently no word about if there will be a third season or not.

Blood and Treasure follows the lives of two people. One of which is an expert when it comes to antique items. The other is an incredible art thief. Throughout the series, you follow their journey as they team up together to catch a terrorist. The way this terrorist funds the attacks is by using treasure that he has stolen. These two go all over the whole globe trying to track down this terrorist, in order to stop him. Though along the journey they end up finding themselves in a bit of a sticky situation. They discover that they have now put themselves right in the middle of a battle that has been going on for 2,000 years. The battle that they put themselves in the middle of is for the cradle of civilization.

Since Blood and Treasure aired it has received an array of mixed reviews from critics. Critics have stated that it was a good try, though it didn’t necessarily hit the spot. They stated though if you are the type of person that likes an undemanding call to adventure, Then this would be the perfect show for you. Overall, this series is pretty split down the middle with some really good reviews. And some not-great reviews from critics as well.
