Never Have I Ever

Never Have I Ever, an American coming-of-age comedy and drama, made for Netflix by Mindy Kaling and Lang Fisher, aired for the first time April 27, 2020. After the first season aired, it renewed for a second season which aired July 15, 2021. Not long after the second season aired, it renewed for a third season which aired August 12, 2022. it has since been renewed for a fourth season, which will be the last season. The fourth season should air in 2023.

Never Have I Ever follows the life of a 15-year-old girl, Devi Vishwakumar. Devi ends up losing her father extremely suddenly. After losing him she lost feeling in her legs making her unable to walk for three months. This happens due to the major psychological trauma she went through by losing her father. Out of the blue, Devi ends up walking one day when she’s in a hurry to try and see her crush.

After the year Devi had, Devi’s determined to change her social standing at school. Though everyone around her makes it extremely tricky for her to do so. Never Have I Ever follows all of Devi’s daily struggle with life, love, and family relationships. And as she tries to deal with the horrible grief of losing her father at such a young age. It shows Devi struggling with boy problems and being in a love triangle while navigating how to fit the situation.

Since the release of Never Have I Ever, it has received really positive reviews from critics. Many critics say it was a great coming-of-age story, while also being absolutely hilarious and charming as well. Critics also stated that even when the writing and plot is not up to standard, the charming nature of the characters make up for it. Overall reviews have been extremely good from most critics.
