The Thing About Pam, an American crime drama created for Amazon Prime Video by Matt K. Turner, Blaine Williams, and Alissa M. Kantrow, aired for the very first time March 8, 2022. This series is limited therefor there will likely not be a second season airing at all. This series is based on the involvement Pam Hupp had in the murder of Betsy Faria in 2011.

In The Thing About Pam, it follows the involvement she had in her friend’s murder. The murder of Betsy Faria occurred in the small town of Missouri. When the police investigated this murder, they thought it was a pretty easy case to solve. They believed her husband was involved and at fault for her murder. And he ultimately got arrested and charged with the murder of his wife. Even though he gets charged, there is still a lot of questions that remain unanswered. Not only does this case charge a man that was completely innocent, but it also helps bring to light the events that occurred regarding Pam Hupp.

In The Thing About Pam, it is revealed that Pam was actually the last person to see Betsy alive. Though she was the last person to see her alive, she was never even a person of interest in this case. The police immediately pinned it on the husband and never gave Pam a second look. That is until Pam keeps changing her story about what happened the last time she saw Betsy. Pam leads police and investigators down rabbit holes of dark turns.

Since The Thing About Pam aired, it has received not very great reviews. Some critics say that even though it was aiming to be insightful about the case, it was not very insightful, nor was it as entertaining as it should’ve been.
