Gossip Girl (2021)

Gossip Girl (2021), an American drama created for HBO Max by Joshua Saffran, aired on July 8, 2021, after getting a straight-to-series order. This series is a standalone sequel of the original Gossip Girl that used to be aired on the CW many years ago. The Gossip Girl series is based on a series of novels by Cecily Von Ziegesar. Kristen Bell narrates this series, just as she did for the original Gossip Girl. In the first few days of its premiere, it ranked as the most watched original series on HBO Max.

Gossip Girl (2021) follows the lives of high school upper east siders who are constantly on gossip girl’s radar. Gossip girl is an anonymous gossip blogger who keeps tabs on the upper east side and what is going on with its most elite members. Since it has been almost a decade since the original Gossip Girl aired, things have changed a lot. The new Gossip Girl shows a lot more adult content due to the extremely relaxed nature of HBO Max. Gossip Girl (2021) has also become extremely more diverse in the sense that they now have included LGBTQ members and Non-white actors that are leads in the show.

Gossip Girl (2021) is not a direct continuation of the original Gossip Girl. In the sense that none of the characters are the same. Though it is the same concept and does take place where the original Gossip Girl took place. They initially gave Gossip Girl (2021) a completely new cast. But are generally using the exact same storyline with a few tweaks. And have added more explicit content since it is now on HBO.

Since Gossip Girl (2021) aired, it hasn’t received the best reviews. Critics have mostly stated that it was a good try, though it was just a bunch of pointless drama.
