How I Met Your Father, an American sitcom created for Hulu by Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger, aired for the first time January 18, 2022. This show is a spinoff of the series How I Met Your Mother. Not long after that in February of 2022, the show picked up for another season. The first season consists of 10 episodes total.
How I Met Your Father follows Sophie as well as her group of friends in NYC. It shows her, along with all of their friends as they are trying to find their way in the world. Sophie is not where she thought she would be or where she wants to be in life. In the beginning, she fails a little when it comes to dating in the world of endless options. In this show, it’s set in the future in the year 2050 when you hear Sophie telling her son about how she met his father and the events following meeting him in 2022.
Throughout the series How I Met Your Father, you see all of the struggles Sophie went through to find his dad. You see her struggling with the world of dating apps and how hard it truly is to fall into true love in this day and age. You see all the obstacles Sophie had to endure to finally meet her son’s father. She tells him about everything, from horrible tinder dates to the endless amounts of options. And how she ultimately met his dad.
After How I Met Your Father aired it received a mix of different reviews, a lot though, being quite bad. A lot of reviews stated that it was a worn-out idea and the plot and lines were extremely weak. Critics also said it was quite cheesy because of the laugh track and bad jokes.
