Physical is an American comedy-drama, created for AppleTV+ by Annie Weisman. Physical premiered June 18, 2021, closely following after the premiere it was picked up for another season. The second season aired June 3, 2022.

This series Physical is about a woman Sheila that is truly struggling with her life and finding the right path for herself. Sheila is currently a quiet and tortured housewife who is trying to find her own power. She ends up finding her way to power in a very unconventional way. She ends up starting aerobics which leads her to her own power. After discovering aerobics, she struggles to balance that along with her husband’s political campaign. After struggling to find the balance between two worlds, she realizes that this isn’t the life she wants at all.

In Physical Sheila is the type of woman that is constantly overthinking everything and is obsessive about what other people think about her. She is constantly in her head and thinking the worst, in the midst of these thoughts she develops an eating disorder to distract herself from all of the horrible thoughts. She is unable and unsure how to stop the horrible binging episodes, that is until she starts aerobics. In the midst of the binging, she lost all her money and blackmails the aerobics instructor into giving her money.

After the aerobics completely changed her life, she also wanted to also be an instructor and teach a few classes. She ultimately decides to keep coming up with more ideas such as home aerobic videos. All in all the series Physical is a funny comedy about Sheilas life that was falling apart, then saved by aerobics. Since this show aired, the reviews overall have been pretty good. Critics have said that it was funny, whilst also being extremely witty and dark at times as well.
