The Baby

The Baby, a British horror comedy, created for HBO by Lucy Gaymer and Sian Robins-Grace. aired for the first time April 24, 2022. This is a limited series, meaning there will more than likely not be a second-season airing. If there is, there has been no word of a second season. The series has a total of eight episodes.

The Baby follows the life of 38-year-old Natasha. In the series, it shows her being envious of all of her friends, as they are starting to have kids and she’s not. That is until one day, she unexpectedly ends up with a child. After this baby unexpectedly ends up in her life she is no longer able to do anything she wants and is constantly tired down by this child. The baby is more than just a normal baby though. Yes, it is stinky and time-consuming like any normal baby. Though, it is also controlling and extremely violent with powers.

This Baby follows how horrific this child truly is, where exactly it came from, and what the baby wants. Natasha tries to get rid of the child multiple times, but it never works. This series shows the lengths Natasha will go to in order to get her normal life back. And get rid of the baby. She no longer wants the child, but the child definitely wants her.

Since The Baby aired, it has received some mixed reviews. Some critics state that the overall tone of the show can be a little iffy at times and could use some help. Though they say that the comedy and horror aspects of the show definitely make up for what it lacks in the tone department. Overall though, this series has received some pretty great reviews, with most people stating they generally enjoyed watching the show.
