The Other Two

The Other Two, an American comedy series created for Comedy Central by Chris Kelly and Sarah Schneider, aired for the first time on January 24, 2019. Not too long after the first season’s premiere, it renewed for a second season. The second season aired on August 26, 2021, which premiered on HBO Max. Not long after the premiere of the second season, the series renewed again for the third season. The third season is expected to air on September 22, 2022.

The Other Two follows two siblings who are trying to find their role in the world when they discover something shocking in their family. Older siblings Cary and Brooke struggle when they find out that their younger brother Chase is internet famous. Cary has been an aspiring actor for years, whereas Brooke was a professional dancer, yet neither of them gained any sort of fame. This series, shows their mental struggle with the fact that their younger brother gained fame and they haven’t. The Other Two is much more than that though. Throughout the first season, the siblings are struggling with the loss of their dad. They also struggle with how to tell their younger celebrity brother the truth about his death. Whilst doing that, they also try to keep their mother from escalating the situation.

After the release of The Other Two, critics’ responses have been extremely good. Many critics have stated that the series is super sharp and spot on. It is extremely funny and hits the hammer right on the nail. Though there have been a few negative comments, most of them are generally good and state that they would watch it again.

The first season has an approval rating of 94% based on 36 reviews, with an average rating of 8.52 out of 10, on Rotten Tomatoes. Metacritic assigned the series a weighted average score of 79 out of 100 based on 16 critics. The second season has an approval rating of 96% based on 24 reviews, with an average rating of 8.50 out of 10, on Rotten Tomatoes.
