Virgin River, an American romantic drama created for Netflix by Sue Tenney, aired for the first time December 6, 2019. The first season consists of 10 episodes. Not long after the first season aired, it renewed for a second season. The second season consists of 10 episodes. The series then renewed for a third season, which aired July 9, 2021, and consists of 10 episodes. The series then renewed for a fourth and a fifth season. The fourth season aired July 20, 2022. The release date for season five is not announced yet.
Virgin River follows a woman named Melinda “Mel” Monroe. The series starts out with Melinda in her hometown until she sees an ad for a job. She and up answering the ad which is looking for a midwife and nurse practitioner. But the job is in Northern California. In specific its in a town called Virgin River. Before the move, Melinda is extremely excited to start fresh, and she thinks living in a small town is going to be exactly what she needs to leave her horrible past behind. Though once she moves to her mall town of Virgin River, she soon realizes that living in a small town is not all that it is cracked up to be. She thought living in a small town would be much more simple, though throughout the series it proves to be the opposite.
Since Virgin River aired, it has actually received some really great reviews from critics. Many critics say that it is great to watch and that it offers a sort of comfort when you watch it. A lot of views say that this series is full of a lot of raw emotion and that it is absolutely captivating. Overall, this series deemed a huge hit and had received great reviews.
