Karol G

Carolina Giraldo Navarro, also known as Karol G, was born February 14, 1991, in Medellin, Columbia. She is currently 31 years of age in 2022. She had a relatively normal childhood growing up as the youngest child of three. Though, at the young age of 14 she started her singing career. She ultimately decided to audition for the Columbian version of the popular show The X Factor. She ended up appearing on that show. It was a few years later that she ended up signed with a few record labels . She signed with Flamingo Records and Diamond Music. When Karol G first started her singing career, she would release music every once in a while. Whilst she was releasing a few songs here and there, she also decided to attend the University of Antioquia where she started studying music. In the beginning of her career she actually ended up being turned away by a record label. Because they didn't think her music was going to go anywhere. After turned down by the record label, her and her father set out on a mission to independently promote her music by doing their own mini tour. After doing that and deciding that her career wasn't blowing up like she had hoped, she ultimately moves to New York in 2014. In current years, Karol G has been extremely successful. In 2019 her first single off of her album released called "Tusa" and it became a huge hit and featured Nicki Minaj. This song was such a big hit that it even got nominated for some big awards like Song of the Year. In March of 2021 her album finally released. She has since announced that she is in process of making another album. Many of the songs that she has announced and released have became huge hits online, ultimately going viral.
