When Reese Witherspoon started her career in 1991, she began with an open casting call. She had no idea that she would have so much success with just this. She didn’t get the role for her audition but has a role nonetheless. From there, she obtained even more roles and was becoming more and more popular as time went on. Reese Witherspoon began to obtain worldwide success in 2001 when she played the role of Elle Wood in Legally Blonde. If you ask anybody, they will know Reese Witherspoon from this role as Elwoods in legally blonde. It was such a famous movie and there were three of them done, only contributing to her success and fame. It ran at the top of the charts for such a long time and from there, she went on to gain all sorts of awards like Academy Awards, Golden Globes, and Screen Actor Guilds awards. Reese Witherspoon also took some time off between 2007 and 2012 to focus on her personal life and family. She kind of faded into the background and didn’t make acting a priority during this time. She is also in a relationship and has another child with her current husband. Between 2012 and 2015, Reese Witherspoon did a lot of work with television and she got back into the acting scene. She wanted to focus on herself and her family previously and then decided it was the right time to come back to her career as an actor. People know her from so many different things and she continued her role to claim success once she began acting again. One of the most popular shows she's in as of recently is Big Little Lies, an HBO production. Reese Witherspoon has a very diverse background and she’s participates within a lot of different industries. She is passionate about a lot of charities and is an activist for many of them worldwide.
