Colin Kaepernick welcomes first child

• Colin Kaepernick is now a dad to his first child 
• His wife just announced on Instagram that the two welcomed their child a few weeks ago 
• Together they faced tough decisions on how to share their news with the world 

Ex-NFL player and American civil rights activist Colin Kaepernick and his wife and television host Nessa Diab made an announcement. They officially announced they welcomed their first child into the world. Also, Nessa took to her Instagram to share the news as she said, “ thought long and hard about sharing our life-changing news today. But there is a reason I am doing so. Today is the first day in a few weeks where I stepped out for work with a new life title – MOM! Colin and I welcomed our amazing baby to the world a few weeks ago and we are over the moon with our growing family.”  

In her Instagram post Nessa also shared how the last three weeks have been post-labor. She said “Recovering after delivery has been a journey (more on that later). Honestly I wasn’t going to share anything because this is sooooo personal to us. I realized though I’m a complete mama bear,” she continued. “Colin is the most amazing dad. I’m soooo grateful that he is by our side for every moment of this journey. I know sharing this allows me to connect with you in different ways that I never imagined. My conversations and life experiences have already changed. And my world is now that much bigger thanks to our sweet little baby who showed me how to love in ways I never knew.” 

Accordingly, just a few hours after she announced her delivery, she is seen strutting the red carpet for the VMA’s as she posted to Instagram that she’s ready to be back in the game.
