WeCrashed, an American drama created for Apple TV+ by Drew Crevello and Lee Einsberg, first aired on March 18, 2022. This series picked up billed as a miniseries, so there has been no talk of a second season being in the works, or if there will be one at all.
This series WeCrashed is about a husband and wife Adam Neumann and Rebekah. It shows the rollercoaster of a ride they had with their company. They owned the communal workspaces called WeWork. 2019 is when WeWork was founded. The purpose of WeWork was that it leased out empty buildings so people were able to rent out spaces to have an office, for people like freelancers that don’t have an office. In WeCrashed it shows the company very quickly caught wind and everyone thought it was a great investment and a great idea. The way Adam ran the company though, was more like a music festival and less like a workspace.
When WeWork was at its peak, it was worth a whopping $47 Billion. That is before things started to inevitably go downhill fast. It came about how extremely over-valued the company was and was not worth that much. Eventually, Adam needed to step down from his position, however, he still came out of it extremely rich. Adam’s net worth is still $1.6 Billion. The series WeCrashed talks about and shows their huge success, and the even bigger downfall, along with all of the in-between.
Since WeCrashed aired it has received a wide range of mixed reviews. Some critics say it was a really good show, and it really made you understand how they got into their tough situation. Other critics though, say that it was at times extremely hard to watch. Because they thought the characters were quite annoying. WeCrashed has overall received some really good reviews and some really bad ones.
On Rotten Tomatoes, the series holds a 70% approval rating based on 20 critic reviews, with an average rating of 6.8/10. On Metacritic, the series has a score of 64 out of 100, based on 10 critic reviews.
