Nicki Minaj whose real name is Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty was born on December 8, 1982, currently making her 39 years of age as of 2022. She was born in Saint James, Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, and resided there until she ultimately decided to move to Los Angeles, California to further her career. She is currently married to Kenny Petty and has been since 2019. Nicki attended a performing arts school by the name of Fiorelle H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts. Nicki Minaj had a tough childhood growing up. At a young age her dad was addicted to alcohol as well as crack cocaine, which caused a violent temper. He ultimately ended up burning down their family home. Her mom was a great mother growing up, though she ended up getting her green card and moving to the U.S. to start working. This left Nicki and her brother living with her grandparents. Her father has since passed away. Nicki Minaj had an extremely normal childhood growing up in Trinidad until 2007 when she started to gain recognition. She gained recognition from her three mixed taped that she released between 2007-2009. Her album 'Pink Friday' is what really launcher her career in 2010. This album managed to top the Billboard 200 charts. One of the songs off of her album ended up blowing up. That song ended up rising to the top three on the billboard hot 100 chart. The famous song was 'Super Bass'. Since Nicki Minaj has rose to fame, in recent years she has released many more hit albums and singles that have won her countless amounts of awards. She has also collabed with many famous artists including Bebe Rexha, 2 Chainz, David Guetta, Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Jessie J, Rhianna and many more. She has announced that she will be releasing a fifth album.
