Kanye West Publicist Indicted in Trump/Georgia Case
By now we are all familiar with Kanye West’s affinity for former president Donald Trump. West has lauded Trump’s policies, and used him as inspiration for his own political ambitions. “He showed me I can be President,” West famously stated. And of course we all totally believe that. The question at this point is simply when West will be elected, not if. Granted, vocalizing that he “loves Hitler” wasn’t the best starting point, but America loves a come-back story.
Well, now West’s political career has gotten a bit stranger. In Wednesday’s now famous indictment of Donald Trump in Georgia, one of the indicted figures was Trevian Kutti, West’s publicist. The charge alleges that Kutti went to a Georgia vote certifiers house and pressured her to change her vote, in an effort to overturn the election results and help Trump win. Trump himself faces similar charges, with the indictment alleging Trump participated in a conspiracy to overturn the election results in Georgia.
In all 19 people were indicted over the events. Kutti told the alleged victim at the time that she “worked for some of the biggest names in the industry,” little did anyone anticipate she meant Kanye West. But it shouldn’t totally surprise us, West’s reach and influence is so vast, that it seems he is everywhere around us at all times. Even, and perhaps especially, in the middle of a high profile attempt to totally overturn the presidential election.
The extent of Kutti’s relationship with West isn’t totally clear. She worked as his publicist and clearly has a long history with the rapper, but it seems she pivoted toward focusing on helping Donald Trump somewhere along the line. West himself has not commented on the indictment for Kutti, nor on his friend Donald Trump. In fact he hasn’t said much of anything since losing hundreds of millions in business deals earlier this year. The question now is just how long he can keep his mouth shut. With a seemingly close person now involved in the controversial legal act, the world can only hope Kanye will speak publicly soon. Maybe it will even set him up to win in 2024.
