Dua Lipa

Dua Lipa is a British singer who was born in London, England on 22 August 1995. She is the daughter of an Albanian father and a Kosovar mother. Her parents are both from Kosovo. Lipa has one sister, Rina. Lipa began singing at a young age and started performing in clubs when she was 16 years old. Dua started singing and writing songs at a young age. She attended the Sylvia Young Theatre School. In 2015, she competed in the eleventh season of The X Factor UK but was eliminated during the first week of judges' houses. However, Dua Lipa appearance on the show led to interest from record labels and she eventually signed with Warner Bros. Records in 2016. Her debut single, "New Rules", peaks at number six on the UK Singles Chart. Her self-titled debut album was released in February 2018 and reached number one in the United Kingdom. Dua Lipa's meteoric rise to fame has seen her become one of the most popular singers in the world. With a string of global hits and sell-out tours, it is no wonder that fashion powerhouse Pepe Jeans have chosen the singer as their latest global ambassador.
