Kanye West

Kanye West also known as Ye, was born on June 8, 1977, in Atlanta, Georgia. He is currently 45 years of age as of 2022. His parents are Dr. Donda C. West and Ray West, who ultimately ended up getting a divorce when Kanye was only three years old. After the divorce, he and his mother ended up moving to Chicago, Illinois. Which is where he resided for a while and attended school. He went to school at a local school called Polaris School for Individual Education. He stayed in school there until he was 10. Which is when he and his mom moved to China, where he then attended school. Since the time Kanye West was little, he has always had a love for the arts. At the extremely young age of only five years old, he already started writing poetry. Kanye started his rapping career when he was in third grade and started selling musical compositions he was making in the seventh grade. Not long after he graduated high school he decided to attend college. The first college he attended was the American Academy of Art, though not long after enrolling he switched colleges and started attending Chicago State University. Though his college career didn't last very long and he ultimately dropped out to pursue his career. When Kanye West first started his career, he started out my making beats for other artists, and did that for a while. He also was a ghost producer for a while at the beginning of his career. For a lot of the 1990's he found himself producing a lot of records for quite a few artists that are very well-known. Kanye then decided to create his own album that was ultimately named The College Dropout. This album received a lot of praise when it was released and won many different awards. Since starting his music career, he has released a total of 11 studio albums, four mixtapes, two collaboration albums, and one compilation. So far Kanye has won a total of 21 Grammys.
